Are you a game show fan or a Wayne Brady fan? Who doesn't love Wayne Brady?! Carolina Crafts on Tap was featured on his hit game show Lets Make a Deal as part of a trip to Charleston. We are the only mobile bar service to be featured on the show so far and we are beyond honored by this. Tune into reruns on Prime and keep an eye out as we will be featured again in upcoming seasons. Mistletoe KissIngredients FOR THE ROSEMARY SIMPLE SYRUP*: ½ cup water ½ cup granulated sugar 1 sprig rosemary FOR A SMALL BATCH: 6 ounces vodka 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice 2 ounces rosemary simple syrup Club soda Handful of fresh cranberries (whole frozen berries are ok) 2 sprigs of rosemary FOR A LARGE BATCH: 30 ounces vodka (3 ¾ cups or approx 1 liter from which you'll have a couple ounces leftover) 5 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice 10 ounces (1 ¼ cups) rosemary simple syrup (triple the recipe above) 1 liter club soda ½ bag of fresh cranberries (whole frozen berries are ok) 10 sprigs of rosemary Instructions To make the rosemary simple syrup: Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan set over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes then remove from the heat and drop in the sprig of rosemary. Allow the rosemary to steep for about 15 minutes and then discard the rosemary. Pour the simple syrup into a glass jar or bottle, cool to room temperature, cover, and refrigerate. To make a small batch: Pour vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a drink shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake well to blend. Divide drink mix between 2 rocks glasses filled with ice, straining the ice from the shaker as you pour. You'll only want to fill the glasses ¾-full. Top with club soda and a few cranberries for garnish. Add a sprig of rosemary to use as a stirrer. To make a large batch: Pour vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a pitcher filled with ice and stir well to combine. When ready to serve, pour the drink mix into an ice-filled rocks glass to ¾-full. Top each drink with club soda and a few cranberries for garnish. Add a sprig of rosemary to each drink as they are served to use as a stirrer. If you make the large batch before your guests arrive, be sure to keep the pitcher in the fridge to ensure the drinks are icy cold when they arrive. Most people do not know how we came up with the names of our bars so we thought we would share that with you.
Our Sweet Caroline comes from the classic Neil Diamond song and we thought it was the perfect fit considering we cover both North and South Carolina. You just can't help but belt it out in tune when you see those two sweet words together. Our other two bars are very special to us as they are named after our two sweet pups. Each bar was designed to match the color of each dog as well. Harper is a blue pittie and you can see that come through with the blue undertones of the whitewash on what has become one of our most popular bars. Our newest bar, Henley, represents our sweet lab/pit mix with her dark brown coloring. The bourbon barrels helped us add that color and give it a more saloon style. Check them out for yourselves and tell us what you think! Merry Maple Sour A classic with a sweet winter twist. Manhattan in the Winter Baby, it's cold outside... until you snuggle up with this slight winter spiced and bourbon cocktail that will warm you right up. Sugar Cookie Martini Just like Grandma used to make with sprinkles only with an extra boost to get you through your holidays. Cranberry Margarita Nothing says WINTER like cranberries and with this tart treat with a bite, it's the perfect sipping cocktail. Peppermint Patti Chocolate and Peppermint, need we say more?! Venue: Splendor Pond Flower Farm - IG: @splendorpond This Spring we put together an amazing styled shoot with 23 other talented vendors. It was magical and we would now like to offer Event Design to our clients. Here we want to feature more details on that shoot and how it all was designed around the hit TV show, Bridgerton. With this Modern meets, Victorian Bridgerton inspired shoot we brought to life the fairytale of the show with twists that make it relevant for today. We honed in on the Victorian aspects with vintage furniture and decor, a horse and carriage, antique candlesticks, bar cart, vintage china, and glassware. A custom crest was created for the invitations to incorporate the theme from the very start. Blending that with a modern-day mobile bar, ice sculpture, live painter, and sparkler fountains to show that you can have the best of both worlds. The bar served cocktails in antique coup glasses with the menu dedicated to the first cocktails described by Charles Dickens when he came to America to continue to intertwine Modern and Victorian. The bride's dresses all have a traditional, yet modern spin to them. We kept things traditional for the ceremony and picnic then slowly shifted to more whimsical dresses as the sun went down. The final dress brought the sparkle to stand out again the sparklers. It was important that we stuck to traditional colors of periwinkle blue, navy blue, white, and green. This can be seen through the location setting, tablescapes, cake, dress wear, lighting, and florals. We wanted to utilize flowers heavily to bring out the natural feeling of the venue setting and stay true to the Victorian era. The Wisteria was carefully hung from the trees over hours to give us the magical feeling to the very end. What jumps out on this cloudy, misty day is that feeling as though you are in the English Countryside. This just helped to enhance the theme even further, showing that you can have the fairytale you see on TV but intertwine it with touches of today that make your wedding a Modern fairytale come to life.
